    you are: the Organization of paint and varnish works

    Machine tools are usually maintained in the closed premises, but the paint and varnish covering on them is exposed to influence various emulsy and lubricant oils.

    Coverings of machine tools, hammers, pressov, being in hot shops, are exposed also to influence of the gases containing sulphurous connections and okis of carbon.

    Colouring should give to machine tools good appearance that promotes maintenance of high culture of manufacture.

    Machine tools have a considerable quantity of steel and pig-iron cast knots; they cannot be subjected to complex colouring in gathering. Therefore painting works usually alternate with machine-assembling under the following scheme:

    Foundry shop - a site of clearing and moulding priming;

    Procuring shop - a site of clearing and priming of sheet details;

    Mechanical shop - a site of colouring of details;

    Assembly shop (assemblage and adjustment of machine tools) - a site of colouring of the collected machine tools;

    A site of preservation and packing of machine tools.

    Presence at machine tools of a considerable quantity of bulky details from pig-iron for which artificial drying is not effective, and also conditions of operation of metal-cutting machine tools - influence alkaline emulsy and lubricant oils on the painted surface - force to apply to colouring nitrocellulose or perhlorvinilovye enamels and natural drying (from 15 20 mines to 2-3.

    Small and average machine tools are recommended to be painted a line method with use at a large-lot production of conveyors, heavy machine tools are recommended to be painted a stationary method at which products in the course of work do not move.
